Extended hours for campus libraries begins April 21

The Library of the Health Sciences – Chicago (LHS) and the Richard J. Daley Library both will be open around the clock during the last week of instruction and finals week for the convenience of students who need to complete class work and prepare for exams.

LHS (1750 W. Polk) will be open continuously from 11 a.m. Sunday, April 21 until  4 p.m. until midnight on Monday, May 6.  Beginning at 5 p.m. on weekdays and during all weekend hours, patrons must show a current i-Card.

The Daley Library and the IDEA Commons (801 S. Morgan) will be open continuously from 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 28 until 7 p.m. on Friday, May 10. Patrons entering the Daley Library on Saturday or Sunday and from 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. during extended hours must show a current i-Card.

Patrons will have access to books and journals, computers and printers, Circulation and Reserve services, group study rooms, and SMART rooms.  A special Red Car service dedicated to library patrons will operate from both LHS and Daley from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m. while the libraries are on a 24-hour schedule.
